Gay Weddings

So, I have always wanted to get an opportunity to plan a gay wedding. But as fate would have it, my gay friends are just not having it. They just aren’t looking like they will soon be jumping the broom, LOL. To top it off, from a church perspective, people looked at me side-eyed when I voiced this wish out. They just aren’t looking like they will soon be jumping the broom, LOL. To top it off, from a church perspective, people looked at me side-eyed when I voiced this wish out. So, I just thought I should let it go…

Then unexpectedly, I bumped into a video of Mohale having a conversation with his family about their upcoming wedding (I don’t have a tv, so it depends what YouTube suggests…LOL). His grandfather kept referencing a girl. Honestly, I couldn’t help but laugh because as a society we just don’t really know how to deal *hides*. I remember I got my gay friends drunk so I could ask them some personal, not sexual, questions. I wanted some perspective. But I thought, just in case I don’t sound politically correct, I would always be able to say I was drunk.

So, again I’m here wanting an opportunity to plan a gay wedding. Why? To get perspective and to open myself up to more love and service. When I watch videos of a gay wedding, I still cry just like I do at a heterosexual wedding. It’s still such an overpowering display of love. And with all the stigma and non-tolerance that families and societies have, for a gay wedding the people who come really look like they legit, from deep deep down in their hearts, support the couple! It would be an amazing love story to be a part of and it would be fun to look at some wedding traditions, take them and customize them, bend them or absolutely break them in a show of the love 2 people have for each other.

Maybe I’ll just keep watching YouTube videos and writing my thoughts…who knows, maybe the universe does its thing and I meet amazing humans who want me to help them plan their road to legalizing their love story.
