Contact Us

This is when you as the client makes contact with us to find out whether we are available for your wedding date and for a chat. We then take the opportunity to understand what you require and see how we can assist you. We also tell you more about what we do and how we can help you.

Initial Consultation

We set up a time to meet with you to go over your specific requirements and to give you feedback on the initial work and research we would have done for you. We prefer a face to face meeting, location permitting, but we are enabled to have other forms of virtual meetings. We go through the following:

  • Design suggestions
  • Detailed requirements
  • Package selection
  • Contract signing, if you’re happy

Detailed concept design

Here, you would have decided that you would like to be joined at the hip with us for your wedding planning. We will flesh out the concept, including all the wedding elements. You will sign this off and enable us to start sourcing suppliers for you.

Most of our couples are always scared to make the wrong decision when selecting service providers. This process is designed for us to help you navigate the selection process by recommending suppliers who can deliver your vision and within or as close to the decided upon budget.

The Wedding Day is here and all you want to do is hang out with your squad and your family knowing that everything has been taken care of. We are your official proxy on this day. We have planned everything and you have signed off everything, now we will execute while you enjoy the festivities.

Traditional Weddings

Traditional Weddings are really a family function and the elders are key. In order for us to help you navigate through this day, we need to understand the traditions that your family would like to observe. We need to respect the elders and give them space to do what needs to be done. We treat these functions with the utmost respect, from the time when the family is performing the more ‘private’ rituals to when all the friends arrive for the celebration. Every element is important!

Tell me why should I hire you as my Wedding Planner?
For most people, planning a wedding can be stressful. It becomes really confusing to know where you need to begin and ensuring that everything hangs together. It’s really not about the venue, décor and colour pallet, it all the logistics that go with selecting the right service providers and ensuring they deliver on the day as agreed. For me, it’s really important to assist the couple to select all the service providers who will give them the best possible outcome based on the vision for the day. I help couples save time and limit some of the concerns they have so they are able to enjoy the planning process and have peace of mind.
What type of Weddings do you do?
We do all weddings – White / Religious weddings, Traditional weddings, Same sex Weddings/LGBTQ.
Where are you based and are you willing to travel?
We are based in Johannesburg, South Africa but are willing to travel.
My venue already has an event coordinator... So why do I need a Wedding Planner?

A venue coordinator and a wedding planner are 2 different service providers. The venue coordinator handles all things concerned with the venue…they are essentially the contact person at the venue who will make sure that all the teams at the venue are prepared to host you on the day.

A wedding planner will help you craft the outcome / vision you want for your wedding day. Then they will help you to source the service providers who will deliver to your expectations. They also come with you to all the key meetings or most of the meetings so they know exactly what you’re looking for and can act as your proxy on the day while you’re enjoying the celebrations. Your wedding planner will become your stunt double as they would have gone through the process with you and gotten to know your expectations. The wedding planner is really for YOU.

What Wedding Planning services do you offer?
We offer different packages to clients. The level of TLC that a client is looking for will determine the package that they choose. We do ensure that our planning packages give us enough time to get to know you so we can really be your proxy on the day.
Do you accept commissions or kickbacks from any vendors?
No. If those conversations come up with any vendors – new and existing – we pass this onto our clients which means you’ll see it as a discount on your final invoice.
Do you charge for an initial consultation?
Yes we do. We normally have an initial call with you to answer some questions and get how far along you are in the planning process. Then we go away and prepare to have a consultation with you so you can have some take-away items to go home and think about. The hot topic is always BUDGET, so we ensure you have a budget based on the look and feel we would have spoken about.
Do you charge an hourly rate, a flat rate or a percentage of our overall wedding budget?
We have a blend of a flat rate and a percentage of the overall cost of the wedding, depending on the planning package you choose and the work that needs to be done for your wedding.
Once we have had the consultation, the contracts need to be signed and a non-refundable booking deposit paid so that work can commence.
What sizes of Weddings have you coordinated in the past?
We have coordinated various sizes of weddings from about 80 people to 600 people.
What additional types of events do you service?

Our main focus is WEDDINGS!

But we also do Anniversaries / Vow Renewals and Birthdays. These are important milestone celebrations where people want the care and eye of a planner to ensure all the elements hang together to give them their desired outcome.

How much communication will we have?
We ensure that we respond to all messages in a timely manner. When we know we are out of the office, we let all our clients know beforehand if they can expect some delayed responses. We also do share our business hours and WhatsApp hours with our clients so they know what they can expect from us.
How many weddings or events will you coordinate per day?
We coordinate 1 wedding a weekend unless it’s a double wedding for one couple – White then the Traditional wedding.
Will you present on my Wedding day?
Absolutely! Your wedding planner you’ve contracted with will personally attend your event along with at least one/two assistants. The only exception is when an unforeseen event occurs and we need to substitute the planner with another competent planner.
How many assistants will attend on my Wedding day?
One wedding planner and at least one/two assistants will be at your wedding. We will have more assistants should you have multiple locations, or a large guest count, but this will be communicated as it will be tailor-made based on your wedding.
Do you dress up for my Wedding?
For weddings, all wedding planners and assistants will wear professional black attire. We do wear flat shoes or sneakers as the walking on the day just cannot be done in heels.
Will you eat and drink during the reception and how comfortable will you make yourself?
Since a wedding can easily be a 12 – 16 hour working day, planner meals and soft drinks / juice / water during your reception are required for the team. However, we are there to do a professional job and will absolutely not drink any alcohol or join your guests in the bar or on the dance floor.
